A five-member committee has been appointed, Chaired by Justice and National Integration Minister, attorney Harshana Nanayakkara to look into the legal basis for implementing the recommendations of Parliamentary Committees. 

The new committee is to provide guidance on actions that can be taken within the Constitutional framework regarding the non-implementation of such recommendations.

This is, as per the Speaker of the Parliament Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, according to a decision taken at the Committee on Parliamentary Business.

The other members include Deputy Minister, attorney Sunil Watagala, Parliamentarians Ravi Karunanayake, Ajith P. Perera, and Oshani Umanga.
