Sri Lanka’s inflation rate, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), decreased to -2.1% in November 2024, down from -0.8% in October, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
The CCPI for November 2024 was 189.4, a decline of 0.25% from October’s 189.9, representing a decrease in expenditure by Rs 427.75 in the "Market Basket."
Food inflation fell to 0.6%, while non-food inflation dropped to -3.3%. Food commodities contributed 0.19% to inflation for November 2024.
