The Department of Meteorology has issued a warm weather advisory for Batticaloa, Ampara and Monaragala districts for tomorrow (9).

The heat index is expected to reach the Caution Level in parts of the three districts during the daytime.

The department warned that prolonged exposure to the sun could cause fatigue and heat cramps.

Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
