At least 20 people have sustained injuries following a traffic accident involving two buses and a lorry along the Bible–Badulla Road in Yalkumbura today (26), police reported.  

The incident occurred when a private passenger bus, traveling from Senapathiya to Bible, collided with a lorry on the Badulla–Bible route in Senapathiya.

Shortly afterward, around 1:00 p.m., the same bus crashed into another Bible-bound bus heading towards Badulla.  

The injured have been transported to Bible Hospital for treatment. Police are currently conducting further investigations into the accident.
