Officials from Sri Lanka and the United States concluded a three-day disaster preparedness workshop in Galle today (18).

The programme, organised with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, focused on improving coordination and emergency response through scenario-based exercises.

Representatives from Sri Lanka's defence, police and key government agencies took part in the workshop to strengthen preparedness for natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies.
