Bugs have reportedly invaded several floors of a building at Sethsiripaya in Battaramulla, resulting in the disruption of activities of several State institutions located within the premises that include the Urban Development Authority and the Child Affairs Ministry.

One division at the building was reportedly fully closed on Tuesday (11) after bugs had spread from the first to the 12th floor of the building following the death of a dog in the vicinity. The bug infestation had also affected businesses at canteens located in the building.

The authorities, it is learnt, had immediately taken measures to address the issue.
