The Department of Examinations (DOE) revealed that all preparations are complete to conduct the G.C.E A/L examination from 25 November to 20 December as scheduled, with no postponement.

Accordingly, students were urged to download the official schedule exclusively from the Department’s website. 

It added that students should rely solely on announcements from the DOE, advising candidates not to be misled by social media advertisements or other unofficial sources.

According to the Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara, the Department hopes to stabilise the national examination schedule by late 2025 or early 2026.
