Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) achieved a historic milestone in January, handling over 1.04 million passengers the highest in a single month since operations began, the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation announced.
The total of 1,045,097 passengers surpassed the previous record of 1,034,687 set in January 2018, reflecting a robust recovery in air travel and increased international connectivity.
The achievement underscores the growth of Sri Lanka’s aviation sector and the country’s expanding tourism industry.
