Japan has pledged JPY 300 million to provide advanced fire trucks to Sri Lanka, enhancing disaster response in Export Processing Zones (EPZs). 

The agreement was signed by Ambassador Akio Isomata and Finance Secretary K. M. M. Siriwardana. 

The initiative aims to safeguard businesses, workers, and communities while strengthening Sri Lanka’s economic stability and sustainable development.
