Sri Lanka has voiced deep concern over the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran and has called for immediate diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration.
In a statement issued today (13), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged both countries to “exercise restraint, engage in dialogue and pursue diplomatic initiatives” to de-escalate tensions.
The Government confirmed that Sri Lankan missions in both countries are actively monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with Sri Lankan nationals, who are advised to remain vigilant and cautious amid rising instability.
