The Sri Lanka Grama Niladhari Association announced that female Grama Niladharis will no longer work night shifts from today (14) due to rising security concerns.

Colombo District President Shamali Watsala Kulatunga stated that offices in unsafe areas will be relocated to more secure locations.

Minister of Women and Child Affairs Saroja Savitri Paulraj assured that steps will be taken to ensure the safety of women working at night.
