Sri Lanka will witness the only lunar eclipse of 2026 today (3), visible from 6:28 PM. 

Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Director of the Astronomy and Space Science Unit at the University of Colombo, confirmed that it will be a partial lunar eclipse. 

Skywatchers across the country can enjoy this celestial event in the evening sky.
