A total of 9,392 individuals from 2,351 families across 12 districts have been affected by the adverse weather conditions experienced in the country, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reports.

According to the DMC, 377 houses have suffered partial damage, while 32 families are currently staying with relatives due to the impact of the weather.

30 people have been sheltered at the Thimbirigasyaaya safe location, the DMC further stated.

The Department of Meteorology announced that the highest rainfall recorded yesterday (21) was 112.8 mm in Achchiveli, Jaffna District.
