The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka celebrated the 250th anniversary of American independence with a Freedom 250 event in Colombo attended by Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, government officials, diplomats and business leaders.

The event featured a showcase of American cinema, cultural performances and fireworks, highlighting the values of freedom, democracy and creativity, the Embassy noted.
