The National Building Research Organisation(NBRO) has issued Level 2 amber landslide warnings for several areas in Galle, Kalutara and Ratnapura districts due to heavy rainfall.

The warning is in effect from 9.00 a.m. today (14) until 9.00 a.m. tomorrow (15).

The affected areas include Neluwa in Galle District; Agalawatta, Baduraliya, Matugama, Horana and Walallawita in Kalutara District; and Pelmadulla and Ratnapura in Ratnapura District.

Residents in these areas have been advised to remain alert for possible landslides and slope failures.
