Train services on the main line are facing delays and restrictions today(21) due to multiple incidents, the Department of Railways confirmed.

Services are delayed following a signal failure near Hunupitiya station.

Additionally, rail services along the main line are restricted to Rambukkana station following a train derailment and landslide near the Ihalakotte railway station.

Furthermore, the 9:35 a.m. ‘slow train’ from Colombo Fort to Chilaw, and its 12:40 p.m. return service, have both been cancelled.
