The Department of Meteorology has warned of a possible low-level atmospheric disturbance developing near the southern Andaman Sea, close to the North Sumatra Islands, from today (29).

Naval and fishing communities operating in the affected sea areas have been advised to remain vigilant and monitor weather forecasts and official advisories.

The warning was issued at 9.30 a.m. and is valid for 24 hours. Further updates are expected as the weather system develops.
