There is a need to establish day care centres in a formal manner in order to take care of the children of working women employed in the garment industry.

Also, the number of women appointed to executive positions is limited.

These observations were made during the recent meeting of the Parliamentary Sectoral Oversight Committee on Foreign Employment and Labour which was held under the Chairpersonship of Hector Appuhamy.
