The Department of Meteorology has issued an ‘Amber’ advisory for strong winds and rough seas, effective for 24 hours from 2:30 p.m. today (20) to 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (21). 

Sea areas extending toward the Bay of Bengal are expected to be rough or very rough, with wind speeds of 55–65 kmph. 

Naval and fishing communities are advised to remain cautious.
