Mandatory 'Aswesuma' information update process begins

The Welfare Benefits Board has announced the commencement of annual information updates for all families and individuals registered in the first phase of the ‘Aswesuma’ welfare benefit scheme in 2023.


Updating information is mandatory, and failure to do so will result in ineligibility for benefits next year. 


Applicants must possess a National Identity Card and an active mobile number for all family members.


Updates can be completed online via https://eservices.wbb.gov.lk using their HH number, or in person at the Divisional Secretariat's Welfare Benefits Unit or the Grama Niladhari office. 


Applicants who submitted grievances in 2024 are exempt from this update.
