The Department of Railways says train services between Badulla and Nanu Oya will resume on Saturday (20).
Services were suspended after a landslide damaged the Nanu Oya–Ambewela railway section. Reconstruction work has now been completed.
A trial run was conducted to confirm the line is ready for normal operations.
The restoration was carried out by the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) with support from the Department of Railways and private partners.
