Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced that the SLC President Shammi Silva, was appointed as the new President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

He succeeds Jay Shah, who was recognised for milestones such as record-breaking commercial deals for the ACC Asia Cup and developing cricket pathways for member nations.

According to SLC, Silva aims to prioritise grassroots development and support emerging nations in cricket.
