The Cabinet has approved a proposal to lease two blocks of land within the premises of Waters Edge in Battaramulla to the Sri Lanka Navy and Asoka Vidyalaya in Colombo 10. 

Accordingly, a block of land with an extent of two roods and 30.89 perches is to be provided on long-term lease to the Sri Lanka Navy for boat riding and rescue camp training activities.

Another block of land with an extent of four acres, two roods, and 1.60 perches is to also be provided on long-term lease to Asoka Vidyalaya in Colombo 10 to be used as a playground.

The Cabinet had granted approval for the proposal presented by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing in this regard.
