Sri Lanka and Pakistan have discussed strengthening bilateral defence cooperation, including potential collaboration in maritime security and disaster management, during talks in Colombo.

The discussions took place between Deputy Defence Minister Aruna Jayasekara and Pakistan Defence Secretary Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Ali, who is visiting Sri Lanka for the 6th Pakistan–Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue.
