The National Police Commission (NPC) has appointed Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Lalith Pathinayake to cover the duties of SDIG – Administration.
This appointment comes as SDIG Nilantha Jayawardena has been sent on compulsory leave with immediate effect until such time that the disciplinary investigation against him pertaining to the Easter Sunday terror attacks is concluded, the NPC said.
