Sri Lanka has recorded 75 dengue-related deaths and 98,616 dengue cases so far this year, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
The Western Province accounts for 52.62% of the reported cases, with Gampaha recording the highest number at 20,917, followed by Colombo with 19,435.
July recorded the highest monthly total with 29,964 cases, while 3,125 cases have been reported so far in September.
Health authorities have identified 34 MOH areas as high-risk zones and urged the public to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and maintain clean surroundings.
