A group of tourists had recently been attacked by a swarm of bees at the Nine Arches Bridge in Demodara, Ella.

According to video footage shared on social media by a foreign couple, they had been suddenly attacked by bees while sightseeing at the popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. 

The male foreign tourist who had been caught in the midst of the bee attack had been assisted by locals who had set fire to hay to drive away the bees, according to reports. 

The couple had later visited the area hospital where they were administered with the necessary medicine and had been kept under observation before they were discharged.
