A foot march calling for the release of imprisoned Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero and defending the religious rights of Buddhist monks is continuing for a fourth consecutive day today (13).

The march, organised under the leadership of Buddhist monks, began near the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy on 10 October under the theme “Justice for the Robe – National Pledge Offering and Freedom March”.

Today’s leg is scheduled to begin in Warakapola and proceed to Nittambuwa. The march is expected to reach Colombo by 15 October, passing through Kadawatha.
