Showers are forecast today in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Southern provinces, with isolated thundershowers in Uva, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts. 

Winds of 30–40 kmph are expected in multiple regions including the North and Central hills. 

The public is advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning.
