Special police protection has been provided to the Lanka Coal Company office.

The Sri Lanka Police stated that the decision follows a complaint lodged with the Criminal Investigation Department by the Secretary to the President.

The complaint calls for an investigation into coal imports since 2009, citing Audit Reports and Parliamentary findings indicating alleged irregularities.
