National Film Corporation Chairperson and filmmaker Sudath Mahaadivulwewa has been selected as a main juror in the World Competition segment of the 23rd Pune International Film Festival. The Pune International Film Festival is renowned for bringing in quality films from many countries, representing multiple cultures.
Indian filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Portuguese filmmaker and author Margarida Gil, Finnish filmmaker Petri Kotwica, and Iranian film producer and scriptwriter Tamineh Milani are the other jurors of the World Competition segment.
The film festival will be held in the Indian state Maharashtra until 20 February. Films selected for the festival fall under categories such as World Competition, Marathi Competition, Global Cinema, Documentary, and USA Shorts.
The film festival opened yesterday (13) with ‘Gloria!’ and will close with ‘The Room Next Door’.
