Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets fell to $6,759mn in April 2026, down from $7,026mn in March, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka(CBSL).
The reserves dropped below the $7bn mark after two months.
The CBSL said foreign currency reserves also declined to $6,505mn in April from $6,800mn in March.
The Sri Lankan Rupee has depreciated by 3.6% against the US dollar so far in 2026.
