Bandula Gunawardane unhappy about state media’s coverage of development projects

Minister of Mass Media, Bandula Gunawardane, alleges that state media falls short in adequately covering the Government’s development initiatives. 


Gunawardane has directed the Sri Lanka Press Council to compile a report addressing the regulation of media propaganda detrimental to social culture and personal health. 


Gunawadane also revealed intentions to transform the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) and the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) into public companies due to ongoing financial losses.
