Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa urged the Sri Lankan government to publicly condemn the recent attack on Iran. Addressing Parliament, Premadasa emphasised that the government should not hesitate to denounce the act of aggression, which he described as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
He proposed that the entire House officially condemn the attack, asserting that Sri Lanka should stand against such acts against a sovereign nation.
Premadasa also called on Sri Lanka to condemn retaliatory strikes targeting countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.
