The Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies (ACCIMT) has planned to launch a satellite next year (2025). 

Chairman of ACCIMT Prof. Chandana Jayaratne emphasised the need for further infrastructure development to educate school children regarding satellite technology.
