The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has destroyed illegal and substandard veterinary medicines valued at over Rs. 3 million.
The medicines were seized during a joint operation by the CAA and the Department of Animal Production and Health.
Authorities confiscated 1,090 kilograms of the medicines, which were later destroyed at the Kerawalapitiya Waste Disposal Plant.
The CAA stated that the manufacturer was also required to cover the full cost of destroying the medicines.
