At least 14 people were hospitalised after a van carrying factory workers plunged down a precipice in the Udugalakanda, Amaragedara area of Bulathsinhala this morning (7).

Six injured persons were admitted to Horana District Hospital, while eight others are receiving treatment at Bulathsinhala Divisional Hospital.

Police noted that 12 of the injured are women, while the other two are men, including the van driver. None of the injured are in a serious condition.
