A total of 173 individuals remain missing due to landslides and floods caused by Cyclone Ditwah, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) stated.

The DMC noted that 69 missing persons are from Kandy, 38 from Kegalle, and 32 from Nuwara Eliya.

The total death toll has risen to 649, with 243 fatalities reported in the Kandy District.

The DMC stated that 6,680 individuals are currently sheltered in 85 relief centres across affected areas.
