Matale Police have arrested several individuals and seized 10 high-engine motorcycles used for illegal street racing along Sangamitta Mawatha.

One motorcycle was found with fraudulently altered number plates, and the riders were aged between 18 and 23.

In a separate case, police arrested a Colombo–Matale bus driver for operating without a valid licence under the influence of narcotics.

The suspects will be produced before the Matale Magistrate’s Court.
