Fourteen people were injured after a private bus veered off the road and overturned in Serunuwara on Thursday morning(25)

The accident occurred at around 7.15 am at the Mahindapura junction when the bus, travelling from Akkaraipattu to Trincomalee, lost control and overturned.

Twenty-one people were on board at the time of the incident. 

The injured were admitted to Serunuwara and Muthur hospitals for treatment.

Serunuwara Police are conducting further investigations into the cause of the accident.
