Sri Lanka will take part in the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Under 16 Qualifiers for boys and girls, which serves as the official gateway to the prestigious International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Under 16 Asia Cup 2025 and FIBA Under 16 Women’s Asia Cup 2025.

This year’s SABA Qualifiers are being hosted in Malé in the Maldives from Thursday (12) until today (15) at the Youth Centre Indoor Stadium.

Four national teams – Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka – will compete for the regional title, with the tournament champions earning qualification to represent South Asia.

The Sri Lanka Basketball Federation (SLBF) has been working tirelessly to ensure the success of local players at this tournament.

With the dedication of the players, team officials, parents, national basketball selectors, and the SLBF Executive Committee, every effort is being made to provide the best possible preparation and support to the teams representing Sri Lanka on this prestigious international stage.
