The Indian Cultural Association (ICA) concluded the second annual Janashakthi Life – ICA International Half-Marathon on Sunday (14) in Colombo.

The event drew more than 2,500 runners from 36 countries. The 2025 edition was powered by Janashakthi Life and endorsed by the Indian High Commission and the Ministry of Sports, Sri Lanka, along with other statutory bodies.

The race programme included three categories: the 21.1km Half-Marathon, 10km Challengers Run and 5km Family Run.

A total prize purse of Rs. 5,700,000 was awarded, with equal distribution between male and female categories.

The route covered coastal and city sections of Colombo, passing landmarks such as Galle Face Green, Marine Drive and Colombo Fort, and concluded along the oceanfront. The race commenced at 6 a.m., with spectators lining the course.

In addition to the competition, the event supported ICA’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, including organ-donation awareness programmes and assistance to orphanages.
