Another suspect was arrested in connection to the arrest of a woman who had attempted to take a T-56 assault rifle to a prominent apartment complex in Havelock Town.

The 68-year-old was arrested yesterday (20), while attempting to carry the firearm into her residence in the apartment complex.

Accordingly, preliminary investigations led to the arrest of a 40-year-old suspect. 

While the two suspects are to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court (MC) today (21), investigations are ongoing.
