The United National Party (UNP) holds its 79th anniversary convention today (20) in Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte under the theme “Let's Stand Together.”

UNP leader and former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, along with key political figures, will attend.

Founded in 1946, the UNP has played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka’s political history, producing several Presidents and Prime Ministers.
