The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) says foreign tourist arrivals for the elapsed period of 2026 have exceeded 400,000.
According to the Authority, a total of 401,787 tourists visited the country between 1 January and 12 February.
The highest daily arrival figure during this period was recorded on 12 February, with 12,731 visitors.
Indian nationals accounted for the largest share of arrivals at 70,880, followed by 44,053 from the United Kingdom, 36,949 from Russia, 28,332 from Germany, and 22,309 from China.
Significant numbers of visitors also arrived from France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
The SLTDA further noted that 124,460 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka during the first 12 days of February alone.
