The second ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and West Indies, which was held at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica was abandoned due to rain on Sunday (7).

West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and chose to bowl first in the rain-affected second ODI against Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Kingston.

 The hosts had to win to level the series after Sri Lanka took a 1-0 lead with their first ODI victory in the Caribbean since 2013 on 3 June.

The toss was delayed by 30 minutes due to early morning showers, with more rain threatening throughout the day.

Hope’s decision to field first was influenced by the overcast conditions and the possibility of further weather interruptions.
