Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga (CBK) spends most of her time with her children and grandchildren travelling around the world.

CBK had recently travelled to Egypt with her family on holiday and had engaged in a river cruise on the Nile River in the company of her children. Hearing this news, several Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) parliamentarians, while engaging in a friendly chat in Parliament, have spoken of how CBK was enjoying her retirement to the fullest.

“CBK is one political leader who is really enjoying her retirement in the company of her children and grandchildren. Wish more politicians understood the concept of retirement,” a young parliamentarian in the group had said. The others had agreed.
