Two people, including a woman, have died following a shooting in Halpathota, Baddegama, this morning (27).

Police stated that three people travelling in a three-wheeler were shot after gunmen blocked their vehicle. Another woman remains in critical condition at Galle National Hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a T-56 rifle was used in the shooting. Two police teams are investigating.
