Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara stated that a total of 29,244 candidates failed in all 3 main subjects of the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination.
This marks 10.66% of the total candidates who sat for the examination.
Accordingly, 9,458 students achieved 'A' passes in all 3 subjects, representing 3.45% of the candidates.
The number of students eligible for university entrance has increased, with 177,588 (64.73%) qualifying this year.
