Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath has begun an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, which will continue until 3 September.

The visit will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and the UAE.

Minister Herath is scheduled to meet UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar and Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.

He will also participate tomorrow (3) in the second edition of the “Sri Lanka Beyond Your Dreams” event in Dubai, alongside UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
